Oh my god and people saying the feelings of others are irrelevant or inconsequential just because they are perceived to have some kind of privilege that may or may not apply to the person passing the judgement. I realize white/cis/straight/male people bother you because X but just because you perceive them to have privilege without actually knowing them, that doesn’t invalidate their feelings anymore than your perceived lack of privilege validates your feelings. All humans react to certain things so telling someone to get over themselves when they are hurt just because you don’t like some aspect about them (which doesn’t define who they are mind you) is just as wrong as them telling you the same thing. Privilege is a mindset, not an inherent property in people. Stop blaming them for their “privilege.” You didn’t choose to be born without it and they didn’t choose to be born with it. How people react to what life has handed them is the important part.
